What the invoice must show

  1. Issue date and sequential number: each invoice must carry a date of issue and a consecutive number, as listed on VID's checklist for tax invoices.
  2. Supplier details: the supplier's name and legal address, and its VAT registration number.
  3. Buyer details: the recipient's registration number where one has been given, per VID's checklist.
  4. Supply date: the date of supply, where it differs from the issue date.
  5. Goods or services: a description with quantity and unit, the unit price excluding VAT, and any discount.
  6. Tax and totals: the tax rate, the VAT amount, and the total excluding VAT; where reverse charge applies, the invoice must cite the relevant VAT Law provision or EU Directive article and show the value excluding VAT.
